Straidhavern Primary School Straidhavern Primary is a short drive away from Belfast International Airport, Aldergrove and Crumlin. We are the closest small school to Aldergrove where many of our pupils live. Parents and children love the family atmosphere that our school provides. We never have more than 125 pupils and each child is known and feels valued. Straidhavern school welcomes children of any religion or none. We deliver an education that is integrated in its outlook and that welcomes children from all cultural backgrounds. There is ample playground space with permanent playground games marked on the tarmac surface as well as grass for use for football and summer games. We have an active PTA that parents are encouraged to join. We have our own bus fitted with seatbelts and the same driver each day. Children are transported safely and with a friendly face each day! Transport is free! Straidhavern Primary School has an excellent reputation for high quality pastoral care as well as high standards and we have incorporated the best of practice into our provision. This was recognised in our inspection in December 2009. Straidhavern school staff are experienced in many areas of the curriculum and we enjoy lovely new classrooms fitted with interactive whiteboards and desktop and laptop computers. |
